“Five hours here was enough to work out we needed longer, and can totally see why they sell a three day pass. Go early, spend all day, and you'll still feel you need to see more! The scale of the place is amazing and the level of detail still left is hard to describe, it's breathtaking. We went in mid October and there was still crowds but not so much that there too many people. Remember to wear comfortable shoes as hours on cobblestones will take their toll.”

The hike up Mt Vesuvius is fairly strenuous but you can go up as high as you would like. I am a 75 year old man in decent shape and made it to the top with just a couple breaks. About a 30 minute walk to the summit. Highly recommend this tour and our guide.”
